Visas for international travel can be complicated. Some countries do not require a visa, some require visas for specific types of travel, some require everyone to have a visa … and all this information changes based upon a traveler’s nationality.
I know seasoned travelers, top tier airline elite frequent flyers, who have arrived at the airport only to be refused boarding to a flight due to lack of a proper visa. This week’s iPhone App of the Week helps eliminate the confusion surrounding international travel visa requirements.
This week’s iPhone App of the Week is Travisa Visa.
Like the majority of the iPhone travel Apps I prefer to use, Travisa Visa is very simple in its interface and its usage. If you’re seeking travel visa information, simply scroll to the country you’re passport is issued from, scroll to the country you’re headed to, then scroll to the type of visa associated with your reason for travel.
Some countries only offer Tourist, Business and Transit; others offer other options, such as Journalist, Student, specific type of work, etc etc.
Once you’ve selected your Passport country, destination country and reason for travel, Travisa Visa displays detailed travel visa requirements.
Travisa Visa provides a link to their visa services, however if you know how to apply for your own visas and don’t need a visa expedited, this App is great for references what you need to know about your travel visa needs. The Travisa Visa App also gives users easy access to visa and consular fees.
Presently Travisa Visa supports “passport origin” countries limited to the United States, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Sweden and the UK … and provides destination visa information for more than 200 countries worldwide.
The Travisa Visa App is free and is updated quite regularly so international travelers are always up to date.
