iPad App of the Week : Boingo
Internet on the road, its a link to everything. Even with 3G iPhones and Blackberries, iPads with 3G and mobile 3G and 4G USB dongles to get travelers on the road, generally nothing is as quick as wifi for uploading, downloading and viewing graphics heavy internet content.
This week’s iPad App of the Week is an App is I use on my iPad and iPhone and is a service I have used with my Blackberry, Windows netbook and Apple laptops … this week’s iPad App of the Week is Boingo.
This week’s iPad App of the Week is Boingo.
Boingo is a worldwide wifi provider, a service that can be found in countless airports and hotels. I have “Boingo’d†my way through airports, from Paris Only and London Heathrow to hotel lobbies in Hong Kong and countless locations throughout the United States.
The Boingo iPad and iPhone Apps make logging onto their service instant, no pulling up a website and logging in through pages. Pull up the app, put your info in and go.
In full disclosure, Boingo has at times provided me with a free month here and there of their service, but I have been using it for a few years, paying for it and see no reason why I will not continue to Boingo my way through airports and hotels.
With Boingo having more than 125,000 locations and subscriptions of US$9.95 a month for laptops and US$7.95 a month for PDA devices, it is far more affordable than paying for 1 day passes or 2 hour passes.
So … do you Boingo? I do.
Below are six screen shots of Boingo from my iPad.
Happy Flying!
