30/01/2009 – Follow Up : Flying With Fish’s Workshop @ Adorama

Last night I had the pleasure of teaching the “Travel Logistics for Photographers 101” workshop as part of Workshops@Adorama in New York City.

The weather turned out to be a bit better than expected, and for my first workshop at Adorama the turn out was a big better than I expected.   I know my discussions on travel are not glamourous; there are no cool toys to play with and no displays of work in exotic locations and famous faces. My topic is to discuss the nuts and bolts of actually traveling as a photographer.

Discussing the basics, such as minimizing equipment to using clothing to get around carry on regulations and how to pack effectively to backing up on the road, the workshop was packed with two-and-a-half hours of information.

I’d like to thank everyone who came last night. It was a pleasure to be able to share my knowledge and expertise. I’d also like to thank you all for filling out the attendee survey. It was nice to read my workshop marked as ‘excellent’ by all by one attendee…that person marked me down as ‘very good.’

It was nice to know my information was valuable to everyone who was able to make it.

For those who could not attend the “Travel Logistics for Photographers 101” at Adorama last night, and those who are seeking some adventure on the road, I’ll be changing up the Boot Camp Workshops at www.comeflywithfish.com in the next few days.   (Before to look for a few special discounts early this week!)

Happy  Flying!
