Happy Fourth Of July … The Airline Geek Way

Today is the 4th of July, as every American knows today is the day we celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and our freedom from Great Britain.

On this, the 234th Anniversary of the United States declaring its freedom from the British Crown, I take a bit of amusement in finding the most patriotic airline livery in the United States to be on an airline brand that takes its name, paint scheme and branding from an airline that claims to be “Britain’s Flag Carrier.”

To celebrate the 4th of July … I present to you the American Flag as painted on the winglets of each and every Virgin America Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
