The Sun Rises On 2011

The first day of the New Year is like every other day of your life, you wake up, you brush your teeth, you put your clothes on and you start your day … but symbolically the first day of the New Year is like hitting the restart button.

Most mornings we wake up, hit the snooze button and say “we’ll get to it later,” but on the first day of the New Year, we wake up, turn the alarm off, plant our feet on the ground and look towards the future.

What will 2011 hold for us? I guess that is an adventure we need to find out for ourselves. Like every other part of the journey there will be easy times and hard time, there will be laughter and sadness, bravado and panic … but that is just what makes the journey worthwhile.

For the New Year I’ve decided that I’ll just keep doing what I’ve been doing. Each time I plan ahead for what to do with Flying With Fish I find that at the end of the year I’ve missed out on some of my plans or other events got in the way veering me off course.

So all I can promise for 2011 is that what you come to Flying With Fish for will continue on course.  Writing Flying With Fish a time consuming labour of love for me, and the only way to pursue a labour of love is to put no pressure on doing it.

I can promise you this though … in the next few days a story I have been working on verifying for weeks will be written … and it does not paint a pretty picture for an aviation security company.

I wish you all a Happy and a Healthy New Year … and Happy Flying!
