It is not often I’ll write about an airline’s fare sale. It is even less often that I will write about an airline promotion that lasts from 9:00am to 6:00pm on a single day…but today is that day!

Come all ye faithful Red Sox fans!  Today only, December 19 2008, from 9:00am to 6:00pm JetBlue Airways is throwing a Celebrate The Red Sox Sale! You notice the sale is 9-hours, this is to honour Ted Williams, the Splendid Splinter, who wore the #9 for the Red Sox.

As I sit here in my long sleeve Red Sox t-shirt, wearing my constant travel companion green Red Sox hat, I am looking over the fares wishing I lived closer to BOS to take in some of these fares.  So for all you New England flyers, and faithful who cheer on the Red Sox in good times and in bad…this sale’s for you!
