Do you like travel? Yearn for more time in an airline seat? Enjoy conversing with  semi-bald white haired gentlemen who seems to only wear Nike sneakers?  Then have I got a contest for you!

One lucky reader of participating BoardingArea blogs will win either an aisle or window seat next to Randy Petersen during the StarMegoDO Randy will be in the middle seat and attempt to not hog the arm rests.  Along with your seat, you’ll win hotel accommodations and US$250 in cash to spend as you wish.

While entrants are limited to one entry per participating blog … you have 30 chances to enter … one entry in each of the 30 participating blog.  Scroll through the BoardingArea blog roll in the right hand side of FlyingWithFish to find new blogs to read and keep entering for your chance to win.

So how do you enter?

  1. Poke fun at AA, compliments, complaints, and general comments mentioning united, hardly ever get a response. Sometimes if there is a bug united needs to know about I’ll DM them, usually gets a response and problem gets fixed.

  2. I follow their Facebook and Twitter feeds…haven’t had the need to interact beyond that.

  3. Five years is a long time. But, pessimisim aside, we are all going to keep finding ways to travel the world through incredible deals. Especially by communicating great finds instantly throughout our unique, if diverse and sometimes fragmented, community. Its always going to be too hard for the average traveller to follow this fastinating pursuit.

  4. I don’t interact a great deal via social media but do regularly read updates on my favorite airlines on their Facebook pages.

  5. Just liking and following via facebook. Not super social network inclined. Would rather deal more directly via phone if I have a prob.

  6. I’ve only ever used social media to contact airlines when I’ve had a problem. Unfortunately, I haven’t always to gotten responses as fast as I would expect.

  7. I’ve asked questions about the experience or bookings, but generally don’t get any responses. Always on Twitter.

  8. Mainly twitter. I use facebook only for contests and prizes…I don’t use it for anything else.

  9. Facebook is my social media preference for dealing with airlines (or any other company, for that matter). Occasionally, I might use Twitter, if there were a contest going on, but other than that, I stay away from it.

  10. I am an x B727 pilot , and would love to fly the B787 and take a look at the cockpit to see how much things changed.

  11. I interact with AA via twitter. They are usually super responsive when I have an issue.

  12. I haven’t used social media to interact to airlines yet. Would probably use twitter if the need arose.

  13. Shamefully, perhaps, I’ve only ever interacted via Twitter for a couple complaints. What can I say, it’s effective.

  14. I follow United on Twitter. I’ve never used them to solve a problem, though–although, I would if it came up!

  15. Twitter! Delta has a great Twitter team and are very responsive to issues encountered on the go.

  16. I haven’t tried engaging with my airlines via social media as yet. If I need to talk to them, I still prefer the old fashioned way: email; or old-old old fashioned way: phone.
